CSSN and First Student Canada Townhall Meeting:  Managing Student Behaviour on Buses

On October 16th, CSSN, in association with First Student Canada (formally Laidlaw), hosted its third annual Townhall Meeting on Managing Student Behaviour on Buses. The meeting was was attended by principals, teachers, school bus operators and drivers, as well as parents. The townhall discussion was facilitated by our president Stu Auty and provided an opportunity for all parties to discuss issues and concerns, along with solutions to problems regarding managing student behaviour on buses.

A panel of educational experts and school bus administrators, including Paul Crawford (Superintendent, Toronto Catholic DSB), Jim Switzer (Senior Vice President, First Student) and Nicole Mackinson (Manager of Transportation, Catholic DSB of Eastern Ontario), presented current and relevant school bus safety information and then took part in a Q&A discussion with the audience.
