Volunteer

Every year, CSSN works with a number of volunteers who sit as committee members for event planning, work at special events, or work in our office.

There are many benefits of becoming a volunteer:

You become part of an essential organization dedicated to reducing youth violence
You can feel good about the work you are doing in your community to help youth
You can build your knowledge and skill-base
You will have the opportunity to interact and network with others who share your passion
You can earn your 40 hours of community service hours needed to complete your high school diploma
You will have the chance to participate in some really fun events!
Ways You Can Become Involved

There are a number of ways you can become involved, depending on the time you are willing to commit and your interests. We can always use volunteers for the following:

Event Volunteers: These volunteers help on the day of or in preparation of one of our special events, such as the Unforgettable Dinner, Safe School Golf Classic, Safe School Conferences etc. These events require you to commit a small amount of time, but a big difference to the event!
Administrative Help: If you have a couple of hours to spare and would like to help with some jobs around the office, let us know!
Public Speaking: If you have a passion for public speaking, and would like to help us spread the word, this is for you! We can use volunteers to speak to service organizations, schools and students. Also, if you have been affected by youth violence at some point in your life and have overcome your adversities, and would like to share your story with others, let us know!

If you are interested in volunteering with our organization, please send an email to info@canadiansafeschools.com, with your name, contact information, and how you’d like to be involved.
