| What exactly are the rules concerning what we can wear to school? |
| Most schools have their own set of rules and most contain guidelines about appropriate dress such as the following: Students are not permitted to wear clothing or jewellery which displays offensive language, or symbols such as swear words, discriminatory words/images, or messages that are intended to demean, intimidate or otherwise offend. Students are not permitted to wear sexually explicit clothing. The interpretation and enforcement of these rules is up to the school administration. To refer to the Ontario Safe Schools Policy, click here. There is an Ontario Code of Conduct which is available through the Ontario Ministry of Education or at your local school. |
